INTERNATIONAL TRIPS

Humanitarian Clowns delivers multiple international volunteer Trips each year, offering a range of ethical and purpose-driven opportunities for performers, clowns, and creative volunteers to take part in meaningful outreach work abroad.

We run several different types of trips throughout the year, including expeditions for trained and emerging performers, humanitarian and medical clowning teams (open to all experience levels), and custom-designed tours for performing arts schools, circus schools, and established perfomring troupe groups.

Each expedition is carefully planned and delivered in partnership with trusted local organisations, ensuring our work is culturally respectful, community-led, and grounded in strong safeguarding practices.

Whether you are an experienced performer or someone who simply wants to bring joy and connection to others, our international trips offer a rare opportunity to be part of something genuinely impactful—while building skills, friendships, and unforgettable shared experiences along the way.

Please see below for our upcoming trips or contact us for more information about our any of our trips.

TYPES OF TRIPS WE RUN

COMPASSIONATECLOWNTRIPS

At Humanitarian Clowns, we believe in the transformative power of joy and laughter and using performing arts as a form of distraction. Each year, we organize Ciompassionate Clown trips where volunteers come together for 2 weeks to spread happiness and uplift spirits in underserved communities around the world. Our mission is to bring smiles to faces in hospitals, orphanages, rural and marginalized communities, creating unforgettable moments of joy and connection.

All volunteers are welcome to join us on these meaningful journeys. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or simply have a big heart and a willingness to help, there is a place for you on our team. Our trips are designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring that everyone can contribute to making a positive impact.

CIRCUSFORHUMAITYTRIPS

Circus for Humanity is the touring arm of Humanitarian Clowns, created to bring laughter, entertainment and playful interactions to children and communities around the world living in hardship.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief: every child has the right to play, a right recognised by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Each year Circus for Humanity runs multiple international tours where volunteers come together to share circus and performing arts in places where joy and performance are rarely seen.

These tours are about more than entertainment — they help foster connection, resilience and a sense of community wherever we go.

We work alongside NGOs in many countries that focus on community development and education, ensuring our tours are delivered in a safe, respectful and meaningful way.

Alongside our annual tours, we also collaborate with performing arts troupes and circus schools to design custom international trips. These journeys allow students and artists to share their craft in new contexts while deepening cultural understanding and connection.

At the same time, we mentor our volunteers to step into leadership roles as trip coordinators, building a growing network of compassionate performers who carry this work forward into the future.

CUSTOMMADETRIPS

At Humanitarian Clowns we have 15 years of experience running and organising International Trips for performing artists and Clowns, with our knowledge and international partnerships, we are honoured to be able to offer and create Custom made International Trips for performing arts schools, Circus Schools, Dance and drama clubs or existing performing troupes that already have an exciting show.

We have over 20 countries for you to choose from, while we look after all the in-Country logistics with already established relationships with our partnering International NGO's, we organise the performing spaces to reach those in need, your accommodation, food, in country transport culture training, sightseeing activities, assistance with fundraising and trip coordinators to be present to make sure your trip runs smoothly.
